VALUES
- Family voice: Families desire to do what is best for their children; there is value in listening to understand barriers and needs.
- Collaboration: Partnerships allow us to do more with less and have a stronger force than we could act alone.
- Cultural Competency: There is value in understanding what environment someone learned from and how that influences their life; knowledge is empowering and can positively affect change.
- Strengths-based: Energy for change is generated when we see good and not bad.
- Persistence: When things are hard, we continue the course of what is the right thing to do.
- Outcome Based: Decisions are guided by data and experience.
- Shared Responsibility: The entire community is responsible to help parents raise healthy children and the collaborative provides a venue for this shared work.
