The”Kids Together!” Disability Awareness Program includes a puppet show, the introduction of equipment and aids used by people with disabilities (wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, canes, etc.), activities, books, and discussion. It is a free service offered to preschools, day care centers, and Kindergarten classes throughout Logan County.
The “Friends Together!” Disability Awareness Program involves very hands-on disability sensitization activities to children in the elementary classrooms. This program is also available to middle and high school classrooms upon request of the teacher. Students participate in multiple activities, which sensitize them to vision and hearing impairments, motor skill impairments, feeding difficulties, and learning disabilities.
